Hi,
I sent my H1B Visa for re validation to the Dept. of State, Visa services, St.Louis,MO. Subsequently my H1 is cancelled by my (previous) employer. Meanwhile I got the Visa stamped by the INS and was sent to my employer. Apparently, my employer(as is said) sent the INS a notice saying that they have cancelled my H1B and I got a call alleged to be from Dept. of State, Visa services stating that they are recommending to the INS for the cancellation of my H1B and deporting me to my home country. I never heard of any such call or enquiry from either the INS or Dept. of State to the candidate seeking his opinion about their decision. In this background, I have 3 questions.
1. Would someone from the Dept. of State call me and inform me of their intention to deport me.
2. If another company sponsors my H1B (after the call from the Dept. of State), what are the chances of my getting the H1 and subsequently the Visa stamped.
3. Can I stay in the US till I get my new H1B??
