Dependent I485

I filed my I485 2003 Feb, and I got married in May 2004. I added my wife to I485 on June 2004.

Will she be getting her GC when I get it? (Hope I get within a year or so) or She has to wait around 600 days from May2004?

Any information will be great!

Normally all the applicants are adjucated independently. So probably her application will be approved later than you. It's not necessarily has to be 600 days. It could be sooner than that or later - depending on the adjucating pace in that timeframe. But if she is lucky she will be approved with you too.

In fact, Here's my timeline:
1) I filed in Sept 2001 for myself and got my 485 interview in Nov 2002 (couldn't stamp until two A numbers were combined. long story)
2) I got married in Nov 2002 and filed my spouse's I-485 for my spouse in Dec 2002.
3) My 485 was approved in Feb 2003 and got stamped. received my plastic card approx. two months later.
4) My spouse's 485 was approved in June 2003 (can't remember) without any interview or transfer and got stamped and received my spouse's plastic card approx. two months later.

I don't think there is specific timeline for this kind of cases (I wish USCIS had one). There are some cases when spouse got approved together even though they filed separetely. I guess it totally depends on USCIS internel procedure and how they handle dependent's cases. But most of the time they are approved separetely and there is NO specific timeframe for approval. For example, for my case I applied my I485 on Oct 2001 and I got approved on Feb 2002. I added my wife's I-485 on Jan 2002 and she had to wait 2+ years to get her approval (May 2004). On other other hand, one of my friends added her wife 5 months after his I-485 and they both got aproved together.
