Dependent I-485 name check

Hi,
My husband's I-485 is pending because of name check. As a dependent, my I-485 is pending. Can anyone tell me how to find out whether my name is cleared? When I called USCIS, they told me that my case is pending because that my husband case is pending. Is infopass helpful? Thanks a lot!

Yes, I'm in a similar boat. My wife's name check has been cleared, but her case is held up since my name check is pending. I got this information when I went for an Infopass appointment.
 
Thanks for the information. I also went to the inforpass and I was told that my wife's name is not cleared either. That means both I and my wife are stuck in the name check, is that right? Thanks

That is correct. If both of you are pending, then yes, both of you are stuck in namecheck. It doesn't have any consequence if either one of you were in the clear though. I can attest to that. If one of you is stuck, then the 485s cannot be adjudicated.
Interestingly when I did go for my Infopass, the officer told me the contrary, that if one of the applicants is in the clear, they go ahead and process the 485s. It did not seem quite right, and I obviously did not call him on it. I did call the VSC (where our applications are), and the VSC officer pretty much stated that the Infopass officer was totally wrong.

On the contrary, my I485 has been approved almost 9 months ago but my husband is still waiting for his name check to be cleared.
