Dependent approved - what about the primary?

Has this happened to anyone here?

I applied for i485 in July 2002 as the primary applicant and my wife's case was applied in Dec 2002. Yesterday we got a letter from INS saying that my wife's i485 is approved, even though we haven't got anything about my case.

The online status message, for both of us, says that the case is still in processing.

Any ideas?

i was in a similar situation sometime back, so i called up USCIS, and they said this is very much possible as different officers may be working in yours and your spouse's case. however, for me, i got my apporval email the next day.
