Hello Everyone,

There has been several messages about cases from South Dakota, Wyoming etc. moving to Dallas or Denver. The email thread below should clarify all such questions.

This is an email communication between with a program specialist .

Now, In my case, I had applied in South Dakota and since its a IT -RIR case, I am going to assume that it will be transferred to Dallas
and wait for ever.

People!: What options do I have now.
** My company can apply through other faster states. Is that a viable option ? What are the implications and processes ?

** Can I apply through some other company.

Also , can any of you see a rational behind this process. Why are they moving IT cases from Denver which is faster to Dallas, a slower place.

Pessimistic view: They want to do extra scrutiny , review etc.
Optimistic View: They want to get to the backlog reduction center. (though they dont sound that way in the email below)

But what is the real logic.

These RIRs would be going into the regular queue.

Thank you very much Mr.********** for the prompt response. If I may ask more information. Are these RIR -IT Industry cases forwarded to the Backlog reduction center at Dallas or woudl they get placed in the normal RIR queue in Dallas Regional Center. If that is the case would that have a separate processing times than what is published at http://workforcesecurity.doleta.gov/foreign/times.asp. According to this page Dallas Regional office is processing RIR cases received in Dec 2002.
Or would this be the date that is applicable to such cases that are transferred from South Dakota to Dallas.

This information would be greatly helpful to me. I would really appreciate if you can provide the same

Thanking you,

Regards

RIR applications that are non-IT related are being forwarded to the Denver Regional Office for certification. If an application is related to the IT industry, it is being forward directly to the Dallas Regional Office, per the certification officer.

Respected Sir,

I would like to know if an RIR application for Alien Labor Certification that was applied in south dakota is transferred to Denver for Regional Processing?

I ask this question the information from the following two links seems to reflect two different facts.
http://workforcesecurity.doleta.gov/foreign/times.asp and http://workforcesecurity.doleta.gov/foreign/contacts.asp

Thanking you
