Denied entry at Canada US Land border

My family has valid H4 visa but denied entry last week from Niagra border. They have confirmed flight out of US, can they re-try entry before 2 days of their flight departure from US?
Earlier reason provided by CBP officer is that I was not accompanying them due to awaiting security clearance for my new H1B visa stamping for 7th yr extension from Toronto canada.

why only before 2 days...try ever day...they have the right to cross the border...make sure they try at a different time though...
 
Denied entry

The reason why I am not trying re-entry that they may have entered their info in system and may again deny entry.
Before 2 days of their departure may create a soft corner and CBP officer may allow them.
It is very miserbale situation for people who are maintaing their legal status.
I should not have come to Canada before theier return and now it is lesson for all to avoid this situation.

Any advise from other expereince people? I will try differnt border post this time beacuse I called several border posts and all of them told me that they dont see any issue with them crossing the border with valid visa and passport.....again it depend on person to person....
