Democratic Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill

I couldn't see anything for those of us who are EB, legal and waiting forever for the I-485. Maybe we should become illegal...
Let's keep hope !

while the plan is obviously being unveiled to woo in the Latino vote, the following excerpt from the LA Times article doesn't suggest exclusion of legal immigrants...

"The Democratic plan would offer green cards and permanent resident status to all immigrants who have been in the United States at least five years, can prove they have worked at least 24 months and have passed background and medical checks. It also would loosen quotas that keep many immigrants from bringing relatives into the United States."

two down, one to go...

Mr. Dobbs put this rumour to rest.

tonight, the news report and the interview of Mr Guiterrez, one of the sponsors of the bill made amply clear that the Democratic Bill is solely aimed at ILLEGAL immigrants... interestingly enough, while Mr Guiterrez was asked a lot of questions posed by critics of the Bill, Mr. Dobbs conveniently ignored the issue of unfairness to legal immigrants.

perhaps this should be included in our defence because the lawmakers aren't exactly interested in addressing our concerns either... thats two down - executive and legislative arms.

lets see what the judicial arm has in store...
