Hi,

My lawyer sent my I485 documents to Nebraska on Friday and it was delivered there today. The status says
Ship (P/U) date: Jul 6, 2007
Delivery date: Jul 9, 2007 7:07 AM
Sign for by: N.ERDMAN
Delivered to: Mailroom
Service type: FedEx Priority Overnight
Packaging type: FedEx Envelope
Number of pieces: 1
Weight: 0.50 lb.

Does this mean that USCIS has accepted the documents and issue a Receipt number, although they might not approve it until after the visa availability? (oct)

It just means that FedEx delivered your packet to NSC. They will not provide any receipt number, as clearly it has been received when all the categories are in an Unavailable status.

If USCIS decides to just withhold the packet, then it will just sit there with the rest of the pile, until Oct. If they decide to start sending rejections out, then the packet will be sent back to your attorney.

Nevertheless, stay tuned and keep all of us posted.

My package was sent on 7/5 and received on 7/6 - My Attorney wants to see if they send a rejection notice or send the package back.

Thanks
