First off thanks to everybody on this extermely informative group.
I just completed my cp interview and am posting the details. Mine
was an AC140 application. Delhi had sent me the case number and P3,
which was sent in for an interview on Feb 13th.

Medicals were done at Dr. Dawear\'s. If you get there in the morning,
the whole thing can be wrapped up by noon. Vaccination records from
the US were accepted and we were not required to take it again.
Only problem is that they send you off to different places for the
blood test and the X-ray (both with 20-25 mins). The reports were given
the following day (evening).

On the interview day, we reached 7:45ish, and were let in at 8:00.
There absolutely no point getting there earlier. They made us sign
the DS230 part II at around 8:30 and pay the fee (US$ cash) at 9.
Then started the marathon wait till at 1:15 we realized they had
broken for lunch at 1:00 (prolly too many people on that day).
Came back at 2:00, and were promptly called to the window, where
they (an Indian lady) asked for the following:

* DS230 (I&II) for both
* 2 photos each
* Marriage cert. with copy
* Birth certificate: Said I didn\'t have one, so she asked for
    the Xth SLC and a copy. My wife\'s bc was in Hindi, and
    they asked for the translation (orig. and a copy)
* Medical reports
* PCC: I gave the Indian consulate copy. She did ask for a
    local copy, but I didn\'t have one.
* Wedding photos
* Employment letter

and that was it. The lady was quite efficient and it took
longer for me to give her the papers than for her to accept
and arrange them. Then we were asked to come back at 4:30.

In the evening we were called only to be told to come the
next day, as the visa wasn\'t ready. In fact a number of
Feb 13th people were asked to come on 14th. Same story on
14th too, except this time the visa was ready (so close :)) but
wasn\'t signed. Were asked to come back on 15th morning, and
this time we did go back with the visa. The originals were
also returned with the visa.

Other than the return trips, it was a painless process.
But do keep a few days in hand after the interview. We had
a close call in that regard.

Congrats

Congrats.
I am surprised that you took risk of not having Birth Certificate.
Did they insist or said somethin on PCC from local police station

BC

I did take the required affidavits and the non-availability
certificate. But I was only going to give them what they
asked for, and they didn\'t.
