Delaying Finger Printing

I have already got FP delayed once. I would like to delay it further. Can you please answer the following:-

1. How long/many times can you delay the FP ?
2. The reason I want to delay is I have some proposals at hand and would be getting married soon. So I want to delay so I can file I-485 for my to be wife. If I do FP now, the I-485 may be approved soon and I might not be able to file I-485 for my wife.
Pls advise.
3. Also can anyone pls tell me upto what stage in the approval process of I-485, you can file I485 for your wife assuming you got married after filing I-485 (related to my plans as above in 2).

You should be able to delay the FP up to 13 weeks I guess. FP notice expiry date should be their on the notice. If it is not there then go to your local office they can postpone it. Usually security person at the gate will put stamp and new FP date( within next 13 weeks) and give it back to you.

To apply GC for spouse you should be married before the approval date. If she is here she can file at any time.
If she is back in your country she has to come on an independent visa like H1 or F1 the you can apply for AOS. Or otherwise you can apply for FTJ and wait till the approval of GC.

The key thing you should be married before the approval of your I-485.

Wow, your RD is Fev 2004 and you already have a FP notice? When did you get the FP notice?

My RD is 07/2003 and have not gotten any FP notice yet....:mad:
