delayed packet 3 filing permitted? Gurus, please help!

Due to my unique circumstances, I have not yet filed my packet 3 which I received an year before (Dec 2000 for Montreal). Can anyone please clarify if filing the packet 3 is permitted now or would it have become expired due to any time limitations. Kindly advise.

delaying a month or so is common so that people can plan interview around their vacation/holidays.
But delaying for an year might cause problems...your attorney can guide you better

I heard that you have a year to file your Packet 3 after an I-140 approval. However, I am not sure if it is true, check with an immigration attorney.
