Delay in obtaining PCC

Here's the timeline for my application for permanent residence to Canada :

(Submitted to Buffalo)

Applied Mar '03
Initial Assessment Feb '04

Now they've asked us to submit PCC, Medical, ROLF fees etc..

We have already done our Medicals. But the issue is in getting the PCC from Malaysia. IT is taking anything from 3-4 months. The deadline for submitting the docs is May 09. And we're pretty sure the PCC will not be obtained in that time frame. We're expecting it in sometime Jun/Jul. Under this circumstance what should we do? Will my application be rejected 'coz of delay in submitting the docs? Also, should I submit all the other docs before May 9 and the rest once I get them Or should I submit them all at once?

They normally don't reject because of such reason but you should write them the reason of your delay and tell them whe you expect to get Police Certificate and when you would be able to send them. You should send all the docs you can ASAP.

First of all - congrats on your case and hope you can ignore the deadlines...

Have you done your medicals yet?? I applied in May 03 and got my assesment and wonder what exactly do they do at medicals and how much time it takes to perform them. Mine are scheduled in a week. Can you share the details. Thanks a lot!!!
