Delay in FP notice? Does it matter?

Hello,
My I-485 was received by the BCIS (CSC) on 4/15/03, but I haven't got any FP notice yet. Its been five months since then. Is there anything to be concerned about? Some of my colleagues say that they got the notice in 2-3 months. Not that I am going to get my 485 approved as soon as I complete my FP, but just curious if there may be something that is delaying this process.

CSC Changed the Timing of Fingerprint Appointments for Pending I-485 Applications

The California Service Center has changed the timing of fingerprint appointments for pending I-485 applications. They will now schedule print appointments approximately 9 months after the I-485 is filed. The CSC has instituted this change to avoid having the prints expire by the time the case is adjudicated.

My 485 was received in CSC in june 2002. I did not get my FP till now. its more than 14 months. Still waiting....

anybody with jun 02 notice date still waiting for their FP notice ?
cos i am.. any suggestions as to what i should do to get FP notice.
