delay in approval of GC for minor daughter

hi,
This is my first posting.I applied for I 485 on july ,2002.My wife and I got our approval and Gc on Jun of 2004.But my minor daughter" case is still pending.Repeated emails to CIs gets me a reply"her case is undergoing detailed review".When I contacted FBI regarding namecheck for her,they told me that they have not got a request fro namecheck so far.To make matters worse the online case staus for her reads as"we recd the I485 application on Jun 27,2004".It does not make sense.Is name check done for everybody or is it random?Can anyone help me on what to do now?Thanks
 
Emails almost would not get you anywhere with the CIS.I am a citizen now, but from my own experience,You have to go your CIS local office multiple times to get the desired result for your case, that is if your case is being handled there, and i believe I-485 application is local office case after the service center approval.As a matter of fact, at one time during my green process, i went to the local office here in atlanta and demanded to speak with the supervisor in charge regarding their delay in my case.To my surprise , the supervisor was able to have one of her associates adjudicate my case right in front of me and stamped my passport with the permanent residence stamp instead of their regular 6month temporary resident stamp like they did for so many yrs.Withing few weeks , i received my permanent green card.
(Mind you, do not get or look upset,don't argue with them under no circumstances but just let them know your frustration).
 
spouse 485 not approved...

Hi, can someone please advice on my situation.
I filed 485 (employment based EB3 with priority date april 2001) in july 2002. mine was approved in nov 2004. i got married in may 2004 and filed my wife's case in july 2004. my wife's finger print was done in oct 2004. i am waiting for her approval. when i called them they told me that since my wife's case was filed very late, it will take a lot of time for her to get processed.
My neighbor who has similar case and who filed his wife's case even later than me got his and his wife's case approved at the same time in dec 2004.
Is there a way i can find out what is going on in wife's case. the message say that they have got finger print review and will let me know about the case soon.

Thanks ,but I did get an appointment with the local officer twice.I had already sent a couple of fax to CIS and since I did not get any reply i took an appointment.The officer told me was that I will get a fax and when I told him I did not have a personal fax number,he just kept repeating it and then told me that if i kept asking them too often or contacted them again,they will deny my daughter's case.I did not know what to do next.that is when i sent them the email.Can I insist on meeting the supervisor?How easy is it?
