Delay between Approval & Stamping

Is there any rule, specifying that we have to stamp the passport within so many days, weeks after approval.

I am asking because I am travelling to India in Nov, mine is an Oct 12 RD. So in case approval happends while I am in India, how much time can I wait before stamping.

No rule. You can stamp anytime after approval. However, the earlier you stamp, the earlier your physical card will come to you. This is cause when you stamp, you will be handing over photographs and information for your physical card.

Please make sure you have a valid AP/H1 before you travel else your 485 will be considered abandoned.
