Degree QUESTION for Stamping H1 VISA

I have a question about H1 stamping:

If one has a US bachelors degree that is not in the same field of the his/her work field. For example: my friend has a BS in Finance and also minor in computer science and engineering from USA. However, he had gone through with a consult company from where he got training and later got job and did the H1 with them.

Now the question is: He is planning to go to visa stamping in Ottawa next month. But he is not sure if the officer will ask him about the educational background, which doesnt match with his career field,(he is a Quality software Engineer), will he face any problems for that??

He does have CSE as his minor, but that doesnt show on the degree. its just BS in Finance.

He is all ready and have appointment and all other necessary paperworks. Just not sure about the educational background thing.

Please any advice will be appreciated!

thanks.

What does the job desc. say? Also when USCIS approved this application based on the educational qualifications, did they have any issues?

When he got his H1, there were no problems at all. Cos the job description they had was for bachelors degree only. His employer(consultant) is saying since he had CSE clasees as his minor, this shouldt be a problem. They are also suggesting to take a letter from the CSE department of his college stating that he had done CSE as minor with his finance degree.

However, the case is kinda wired now. Cos his diploma certificate doesnt show anything about CSE and he is working on software field now on contract basis. Will this be any problem or a case of denial if he goes to canada for stamping?

Also my friend was given some sugegstions from some source that, he should do some quick oracle or any software certification from any community college and have the certificate of that with him when he go there and that might help.

Please any recommendation...!!!
