Hello Everyone.

My wife is holding a Bachelors degree in Comp. Science (3yrs) and one year study in M.SC part-1 comp. science. She didnt complete her second year in M.Sc as she came to US. She also has one year experience from home country in her field.

We have evaluated her degree from WES and MEI Services and both states that its equivalent to US bachelors degree of 4 yrs. Evaluation from WES also states no. of credit hours in B.SC and also from M.Sc.

Her I-140 is filed at NSC sometime in Nov 2007. Is there anything we should keep ready if any RFE is received. We have evaluated only her education part and not work experience.

Any advice in this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You cannot combine degrees to equal a bachelor's degree. You can however have a requirement of a bachelor's degree plus 1 year of experience with the alternate of 3 years of education and 3 years of related experience. The educational evaluation of a bachelor's degree is only the evaluator's opinion, not the official opinion of the USCIS, although having it and submitting it is good. Hopefully, the 3 & 3 language was included in the labor certification, which, if you have an experience attorney, it should be. Let me know how your case goes.
