Dee Rod, Info about address change at the time of stamping..

Looks like better option would be to try change of address later...

I was going through \'Passport Stamping Experiences\' on Ciba\'s site - and I founf the following:

- buckeye\'s change of address was not registered when he/she tried to do with passport stamping
http://www.geocities.com/ciba_2/I485/experiences/PP/buckeye.htm

dreamer2 says that they will send me back to line on ground floor if I want to change address
http://www.geocities.com/ciba_2/I485/experiences/PP/dreamer2.htm

So, I\'m thinking that I\'ll change address after stamping ... Please post if you have any other info on change of address.

Thanks.

Bhagwan, I think you can do both options to get your address changed...

Sorry, could not reply earlier. I usually don\'t visit the site on weekends.

1) One friend of mine got a change of address of form. He was told to mail it to some address(he does not remember which) 1 month after stamping. He was given the form by the INS Officer himself. He was told that all change of addresses would be forwarded to the facility that produces the plastic cards. But, different INS locations may have different rules for getting hold of forms.

2) Another friend gave his new address to the Officer at the time of stamping. The officer wrote it down on the approval notice. The Officer fills out a form/screen online which gets the ball rolling for production of the plastic card. I am guessing there is a place there for the address on that form. A diligent officer would enter the new address there.

My suggestion is you do both. Can\'t hurt, can it? Anyway, let us know how you went about getting your change of address implemented.
