I have a question...

I went for my citizenship interview today...passed the interview but a decision was not made as they did not have my full file as I have another "A" number. My husband who also had his interview had his whole file and he was appoved.

I had my interview at the Santa Ana DO.

How long does it take for the file to get transferred if it does get found?

The officer who interviewed me told me that the file should be found and I should get an answer in 30 days.

Is this a problem ? will I ever get a letter for my Oath ceremony soon?

A number is unique if you applied I-485 once. Did you apply mutiple times?

It is NOT. There can be multiple A#s. I had the same situation. I have 3 A#s. Now they are all compiled in one file. But when I went to FP, FP notice had one A# and my GC the other. They decided to use the A# under which they filed the file.

It is another A number but my question is how long before they can find the file with the other A number to compile the files together because that stops me from getting my oath ceremony.

I have already passed the interview......on the form it says they have to give me answer withing 120 days...I am assuming that it can take a long time to find the file if you have not yet been interviewed?

I am just wondering as the IO says the file should be at the DO office within a month.
