DEC'2001 Filers Re-FP Cases

Few re-FP case approvals have been posted recently in last few days. We are all talking of approval in 1.5months after Re-FP. I donot think that is true, as I am waiting since my Re-FP on 6/14/2003. It seems to me like, Even for Re-FP cases, they are revisiting the cases by RD/ND date, not by Re-FP done date, now they are at 069, 070 series as recent re-FP approvals.

So, I donot think anything gets triggered with the Re-FP date or Re-FP schedule date. Probably now they have started revisiting the cases for which FP was expired & thus skipped earlier. May be, the Re-FP request is automatic. If by the time BCIS revisits your case, & if you are lucky to receive the FP notice, & get re-FP done by then, you will be probably adjudicated. Otherwise you have to wait for nexttime when BCIS revisits your case again. So, the point remains unclear that , when BCIS will revisit our cases. Is there any fixed time interval? Or just their whims, And for some people, whether we will get the re-FP done by the time BCIS revisits our case.

Any thoughts?

And then there are some who are waiting for SOME action after sending their response to an RFE and seeing their FP's expire and pass them by into the distant past. I wonder how many "re-visiting" they would have to endure. God save us all!

skaus2001, I have seen 070 series yesterday get approved after second fp.

7051132 a 8/5/2003 17-Jun
7051141 a 8/5/2003 17-Jun
7050091 r 7/30/2003 26-Jun

skaus2001, it's not like after you have done 2nd fp, your case will always be approved. I have found many cases, first fp in Feb/02, second in June/03, get Transfered or RFE in July or August

You don't know if your case has been assigned to an officer before the 2nd fp notice issued. It could be your case never get assigned and thus you're in a new queue of waiting. if your case is assigned, your case is in the 60 day folder, then you'll be approved in 1.5 months.

My 2 cents

for example.

6951443 t 8/6/2003 17-Jun
6951454 t 8/6/2003 17-Jun
6951834 t 8/6/2003 13-Jun
7050091 r 7/30/2003 26-Jun
6350532 t 7/24/2003 17-Jun

the fourth column listed 2nd fp date, first fp was in Feb/02.

I am DEC 01 filer and I am in EAC02-066 series.

I got second FP notice on 8/1/2003.

I did not receive RFE or transfer till now nor did I called VSC before. Do you have any idea if my case has been assigned to an officer or this second FP notice is automatically generated?

Thanks.

Your case very much likely has not been assigned to an officer, since your FP was expired on 7/26. and you received it on 8/1/03. Sounds to me the notice was generated by the machine(scheduler system) automatically. That means your case hasn't been assigned to an officer yet. It would be too much coincidence if the officer scheduled the FP just on the day it expired. Can you tell me when was the notice issued.

Dengdeng...based on my details below..can you tell me as to when is the possibility of my file being touched (and approved.....guess I am dreaming)

thx for your help
also...any one fron EAC-02-077 Series here?

1st FP: 02/14/2002, results received and updated on 02/20/02
EAC-02-077-5xxxx
2nd FP: 06/03/03 (Scheduled date was 06/20/03, but went early and did the re-FP, but the message is not yet updated. Checked with FBI and they said that the results were returned to BCIS on the same day within two hours.)

No jaynew, I don't think your case has been assigned. Generally, if your FP was issued days after your first expired, that means your case has not been assigned to an officer. for your case, your
FP expired on 5/20/03. At that time many Dec cases haven't been touched. So it's highly likely your case was not assigned to an officer. Plus you did your FP on 6/2/03, that means your second FP was issued in the last week of May. So I don't think your case was assigned to an officer.

Look at the notice and see when the notice was issued.

thanks dengdeng for your reply. yes you are right. My re-FP notice was issued and dated on 05/22/03 (two days after my expiry). They mailed it on 05/25/03 and I received it on 05/29/03. Thats why I went right on the 2nd working day and did it on 06/03/03. The actual date was 06/20/03.
If its true that my case has not been assigned, than how much more time do you think for my approval. I haven't seen many cases from 077 series off late.

jaynew, I'm not god, I can't predict anything. Otherwise I can predict mine. :)

Well, your case probably was put aside to some line waiting for 2nd fp. It could be a 60 days folder too, for those need 2nd fp.
But not on officer's desk. In Distribution department. The reason why I said 60 days because I saw somewhere someone posted it and it's quite reasonble. BCIS doesn't expect you to go fingerprint early.

So it's almost time your case will be assigned! Previously you could call VSC to know if your case is assigned, now there's no way you can get that information. :(

But do expect RFE and Transfers, don't assume it will be a straight approval. As I said, your case has never been looked by an officer, so your case won't be 100% sure approved at once. If your case has been assigned to an officer, and you did 2nd fp, I would say yes, very much likley.

dengdeng:

Thanks for your reply.

I do not have my 2nd FP notice with me. I will check it again and let you know when it was issued.

Looks like my wait will be a LONG one. So in my situation, there is no point to try to get 2nd FP done earlier, right?

My 2nd FP is scheduled on 9/9/03.

Thanks.

Hi
I have a question. I gave my 1st FP on 5/11/02 and BCIS received it ont 06/03/02. I have not received any RFE as yet. What is the chance of my case being assigned and when can I expect 2nd FP. Thanx.
