Dec'2001 Cases - Please Count Re-Fingerprinting

I am one of the Dec'2001 Filers. This is a great site, great people & great chat. I was very happy once to see my FP done withing just 3 months of filing I485 .i.e. on Feb 13, 2002. Now it seems that's causing me more delay & frustration. I am not sure whether all the unapproved people who have already completed 15 months after their FP , will get notice for Re-FP. I am one of them , but yet neither received the notice for Re-FP nor the approval. I also see there are lots of people who are waiting for approval with their FP done in Feb'2002. My Details are as follows:-

PD - 07/07/2000
RD - 12/19/2001
ND - 12/28/2001
EAC - EAC 02 072 5XXXX
FP - 02/13/2002
FP received by INS - 02/15/2002
AD - ???
Re-FP - ?????

Can we please add our case details here to keep track of similar cases who are waiting for Approval with first FP done in Feb 2002..... and/or got 2nd FP notice .....

Are we the only 3 in this situation? All other Dec'2001 Filers with 1st FP done in Feb'2002 got approved ??

I think FP's are scheduled according to the Local Office Availability.
So you can hang in there to get your 2nd FP Notice I am also in the same boat.
 
I have done my Finger printing on 3/08/01.... will I will get second finger printing...!!! let me know
 
I remember that previously FP used to be done when it was close to your approval. When they started sending out FP notices soon after applying, I thought the process was going to become faster. But know it has turned out to become 2 FP's.

Why not just resume sending FP notices when it is close for approval - so that people do not have to go thru this hassle.

Gave my first FP on 01/31/2002.

Received 2nd FP notice on 5/28/2003. Have an appointment on 6/17/2003.

Re-Fingerprinting

Hello,
My receipt date is Feb 10 , 2003.
I got fingerprinting notice on Apr 24 for May 20th appointment. But since we had planned to goto India, I went to the FP office and talked to the officer there and got the fingerprinting done on Apr 25 itself.

Now just yesterday I came back from India only to see that there is one more notice for finger printing on June 10th. Now my wife is India and scheduled to return only in July.

I called the 1-800-375-5283 number and asked but they blankly said I have to go and re-do the fingerprinting.

Anyone knows why they are asking for repeated FP?

Your information or suggestions on this will be greatly appreciated.

There is a conflicting information regarding second finger printing ( mostly DEc 2001 Filler)
We know finger prints expire 15 months from the date of first fingerprints
Does this mean the INS officer should have taken up the I485 case, before 15 months, what happens if INS officer issues a RFE , and by the time it is replied if 15 months pass. do the first finger prints expire and a second fingerprintis required. Please advice
