Hello Friends:
Finally my worst expectations came true today
I am from EAC-02-077-52xxx series. Me and my wife recd. the 2nd FP notice today (May 31st, Saturday). BCIS has given the date as 06/20/03 at 11.00 am for my 2nd FP. The notice is dated on May 22, 2003. Though the INS envelope cleary shows that it was put into mail on May 29, 2003 only and I recd it today. This is just to make people aware of the INS mailing habits.
My RD is 12/20/01, ND is 01/04/02. My first FP date was 02/14/02 and they received the FP back on 02/20/02. So I was kind of prepared for this 2nd FP since it got expired on May 14th. I had called IIO 3 weeks earlier and she told that the file was not assigned and if the finger printing is over 15 months, than I would be sent the 2nd FP. Thats why I said my worst expectations came true.
Can anyone tell me, does this mean that my File has been touched ? Or is that they ran a report log which stated that my FP was over so I need to be re-FP ? Bcoz if it means that my File has been touched, than atleast I can hope some decision in one month or so. Else, I'll have to still keep waiting (who knows may be for months ).
Also, I am from NYC and have to go to Jamaica BCIS center. Do you guys think that I should go earlier (may be next week) and try to do it earlier by giving some excuse or should I wait for 06/20/03 ? Can anyone share their exp. in similar case with regards to Jamaica Center ? I mean how are the people there, what are my chances of getting FP early there, would they allow me?
Also, I understand that generally FBI gives back the report in a weeks time so how long do you think it will take more for INS to approve my case after receiving the 2nd FP.
Off late, I have read that lots of people have recd 2nd FP including myself so I believe that people who are close to 15 months and having RD later than 12/03/01 should be mentally prepared to recd the 2nd FP. This way you are less disappointed and know that PATIENCE IS THE VIRTUE. Personally I am disappointed little bit but atleast not shocked. Hope this helps others who are in similar situation to mine. Trust me this entire GC process has made me learn what patience is and also that things will happen ONLY when they are due.
Upar wale ki marzi.
thanks,
