Dec 2005 I485 filers in VSC?

I have just yesterday sent all my papers with the medical exam results etc to my lawyer for I-485 application.
My PD is Oct 1998. Applying for I-485 now in VSC.
I am also applying for my EAD and AP.
Can you please tell me how long would it take for me to get my GC?

Usully it will be 2 to 3 months for old priority dates before 99.
one of my friend is filing her 485. i will update you if any thing i get from her.
Did you get 140 approval?

Is it something you are guessing or any of your friends (old priority dates) had gotten their I485 approved in 2 to 3 months?

As per my lawyer, it will take 1 to 1.5 years for me to get my GC.
It seems priority dates matter only for applying for I485, once you have applied for AOS, the case will be looked at based on your I-485 receipt date.
Since I applied in mid dec 2005, VSC is processing mid dec 2004 now and hence will take about a year to year and a half for them to approve my case.
Pl. let me know if you think I am wrong and it should really take me only 3 months to get my GC. That will be a great news.

U SHOULD GO TO TEXAS SERVICE CENTER OR CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER. AS U SEE ON THE USCIS WEB SITE THEY R PROSCESSING I-485 FASTER.

My company files only in VSC and hence I didn't have a choice.
I dont mind waiting for 6 months to a year. As I have not yet joined the company.

processing date you see on the website has nothing to do with reality.
And they rarely updated. this Dec-2004 date is there for more than 3 month already - what, they received 10,000 applications in Dec-2004?
besides, there's a fingerprints and name check. sometimes people got stuck there for years! I really wish that neither of us have this problem, but everything is possible...
IMHO, this 1-1.5 year estimate is based on nothing. I'm not saying it can't be, but it is unlikely
oh, another thing: filing is territorial - you can't just file to any SC. You need to file to the particular one, in case of east coast it's Vermont
