i think earlier FP done may not be readable . Did you tried to talk to FBI and find out? If they say it is complete that means ,FP's are good. If they are not giving proper answer that means something is wrong and its not readable. Looks that is why they mailed you another notice. This is my experience.
If you do FP earlier than scheduled date and then talk to FBI will be good . Because if they do not confirm your FP then you can again go with another ( Lawyers copy and individual/direct received copy ) copy of FP notice and redo your FP for scheduled date . so that You will not waste another 3 months .
