I got the following letter from local congressman on May 22, 04:

"I am pleased to report that my liaison with the CIS Vermont Service Center has recently informed me that both your and your spouse's fingerprints have been processed by the FBI, and yourapplications are now in line to go to an officer for adjudication. I anticipate that you should hear from VSC within the next 90 days.

I hope this information is helpful to you."

I just wanted to share it with you. Let's see what happens in next 90 days, RFE or approval? I am not keeping my hopes up with VSC anymore.

What you got from the Congressman seems like a very basic/regular response. You could have been able to get the status of your fingerprinting by calling FBI. And, obviously, the application gets in the line (but where in the line???) for adjudication after FP.
As you had already figured, dont raise hopes yet. But, again, you never know. You might get it all done pretty soon. :)

Wish you good luck.

Yes, this is similar to the email I received from the Senator's office initially. In a couple of weeks they sent another email saying that we should expect an RFE soon, which we did in a week or so. Best of Luck.
