After endless waiting and waiting and waiting, finally got my approval email.

I am soooo happy!!!!!!!!

I made the change in signature.

My saga started in May 2000. I applied for RIR from Boston and it was rejected in Dec 2000 due to improper ads. Labor Dep't said ads did not name the company. My lawyer said we did not need to name the specific company as long as address and company profile was given.

Anyways, filed an appeal in Jan 2001. Appeal was rejected in March 2001. Then my lawyer suggested we withdraw and refile but the person at Labor dep't felt bad and said that instead she will transfer to regular Labor (non RIR) and jump the backlog queue. So she did that and Labor was approved in May 2001. Filed I-140 in 2001 which was approved after six months. That time one could not file concurrent. Then the I-485 was filed in Dec 2001.

First RFE was for J1 Waiver doc as I had initially come on J1. I had submitted that origninally but apparently they lost it and so I had to send it again. I then waited for three months, approched Congresswoman, did that again and again. I guess case officer got pissed. Then they sat on my case for one year and sent me second RFE which was a list of arrivals and departures since I came to US along with purpose and all pages of passport along with blank pages as well and Birth cert.

Submitted that and finally got approval.

Thank God.

What happens now...

Can anyone tell what the next step is? I know I will get the letter. What do I have to take with me for the stamp?

Also, will there be a specific date that I have to go to or I can just go on any day?

(1) All EADs & APs
(2) Approval Notice
(3) Valid Passport
(4) 2 Passport style photos

you can walk in between 8-12 on wednesdays.
rest of the days, you need an Infopass appointment
