Does the Following statement means that security check/FBI check was already done on April 26 2002.



" On April 26, 2002, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."
 
I think, This msg means that BCIS has received the FP results from FBI after checking with FBI database....but it seems that BCIS also does other security check / Background check with other federal agencies & sometimes with their consulate in the country of origin....

In my opinion, This msg does not necessarily mean that it has already completed all the check formalities....

Security checks are different than FBI (FP check). Local BCIS guys explained me that this will do right after FBI check.

It takes around 60-90 days to clear your security check. If you havent heard anything from BCIS, call them. IIO will generate an internal inquiry (you must be knowing that). That will help to expedite your case. I think you should get your approval very soon.

Usually security check will be done in a weeks time. Because I have given FP2 on july 17th. FB was done on the same date. One week later my local BCIS guy told me that security check is completed.

My take on this is usually takes about 3 to 4 days. Some times it may take up to 60 days.

How did you find that out from your local BCIS guy? Does local BCIS have access to your case?

Appreciate if you can let me know. My case is pending way too long! (Nov 01 case)

Yes local bcis office have limited access to your file.

In my case we never recieved RFE notice, so went to local office. They made a call to Vermont service center. They have given me my RFE details + this information.
 
In my case I am having authenticate reason (got only 4 weeks left to respond my RFE or else they will deny case) that is one reason they are willing to help me out.
 
In your case I would suggest you to approach your local senator. If he is good you will see results in a week time.
