Hello
i know its not only me but lots of people here are wondering about this.
they are thinking of giving green cards and citizenship to illegal people in us.

how will this effect us people who are already wating in line who is legal paying taxes & doing every thing legal.

Any one have any comment or any news for us people please replay
Thank you.

Well all I know is that this is not going to negatively affect us. What remains to be seen is whether the provisions related to Employment based green cards ratified. If they were then it should expedite our claim to fame... (i mean our GC)..

what i mean to say is that
the bill passed today that illegal people living in us more than 5 years will get US CITIZEN SHIP.
will they be behind us or we will be behind them in line to get GC OR CITIZENSHIP.
i am really worried about this becuase we are legal we should have right first to get atleast GREENCARD & later citizen ship.

As far as GC is concerned they will have to fall back in queue. so guessing Citizenship will be next step for them... But how that is implemented is yet to be seen... I think most of us are more concerned about GCs and to me talking about Citizenship when GC fate is still hanging is jumping ahead of yourself..

thank you, you answered my question
i am thinking by this we will be getting our green faster.
because so many people will be in queuq with PD and this will take them more than 15 years if they go with this speed right now.

If I am the lawmaker who is working on this bill and am thinking of the welfare of America, then I will do the following.

Put all the illigal immigrants on the path for GC/Citizenship ahead of all legal immigrants.
Reason, leagals are already paying everything and contributing to the economy, no need to to rush them into permanent Citizenship.

I dont want the legals to move back althogather therefore do something (dangling the carrot in ront of them) that will keep then in a limbo state for a long time, atleast 9 years or so.

Make it impossible for the lagal immigrants to stay beyon the 9 years period in US and make life hell for them so that they give up and go back. This way they will not get the benefit of Social Security and everything they contributed until now will help exisiting citizens.

Thats what comes to my mind if i put myself in their shoes.

So do the same thing, you will surely come up with something like this.

Neocor, you are correct my friend.

the legal ones are already paying taxes already and are not going anywhere. If you think that our wait is long. Sit and relax, we are going in a loooooooong ride.
They will use all the resources to take care of the illegals before they look to any of our applications again.
it is politics as usual.

I disagree
this country goes by its law, i don't know if you heard that before they were thinking of giving GC people like us because we are educated people making $60,000 & more a year. and i don't think that illegal immigrats will be getting GC ahead of us, and they also said they will have to wait behind the line of those who are already in line.

my question is just that will our process will make speed or it will be still on same speed.

You all have to realize that it is a bill...not a law. Nothing can be done until it becomes a law. The house passed a bill to leave things as they are and enforce current laws. The senate passed a bill to legalize all illegals. Nothing can be done until the two agree on a common ground....then once they do...whatever they agree on will be taken to the president who will vote yay or nay on making it a law. So we still have a while to go. The house and senate has to decide on one thing....probably a middle ground. So this bill passed will not do anything at the moment. What you should worry about is the middle ground they will agree on. So let's all relax and continue to follow this. I still don't think it will affect us since we are already being processed. They have to finish with us before they tackle anything else.
