Dear Members,

This is in reference to my visa revalidation process.

I am planning on applying for my H1b visa renewal here in the US. I wanted to seek assistance from you members.

1 ) My company is based out of NJ and therefore I work in NJ, However, I maintain a home in VA and travel back to VA on weekends. I live in the company guest house on weekdays in NJ. I am a domicile resident of VA and also have filed my Income Taxes as VA resident. Therefore all my pay-stubs reflect my Virginia address.

A) Will this be a problem when I apply for revalidation as my company is based out of NJ but I have a residence in VA on my pay-stubs?

B) Should I change the address on my pay-stubs before applying? If so, how many pay-stubs are sufficient to send for revalidation?

2. I noticed on the http://travel.state.gov/hlop.html website, they do not mention about pay-stubs, educational documents, tax returns as required documents to be submitted for revalidation, can anyone please advise if these documents are required? Should I ONLY follow the documents listed on this website? I remember when I completed my 1st stamping in India, they did ask for Pay-Stubs, Tax Copies, etc so I am a little concerned here.

Thanks,

Raj

Pay stubs showing VA address is not an issue. Required documents for H1 revalidation in US are very limited as opposed to that of getting abroad. You do not need to submit pay stubs. Just follow the docs mentioned in the DoS site. Good Luck!!!
