DCF Filing - What is in pkt 3

DCF packet3 info and help needed
Hi,
My wife called me and informed me that she got the packet 3 from Chennai.We filed on jan 4th,2006 and the packet arrived on Jan 29th.It has a covering letter stating our case number and our category and 2 forms ::
1. DS-230 Part 1 which has to filled out and mailed back.
2. A "" Notification of Applicant Readiness"" form-- It asks us to obtain all the required documents relevant to your case.And you have to fill out your personal info on the form--Name,case number,our maiing adress,telephone number date and our signature.
Both forms to be filled and sent to Chennai consulate.
Questions and help regarding packet 3 ::
***In the posts written before,it is said that Packet 3 includes a document checklist which we have to collect..Howeverver there was no document checklist form as such in our package.Only these 2 forms were sent.It syas the information needed for the required documents have to be obtained by us from an appropriatr authority.[Suggesting probably the Chennai consulate website and the uscis.gov website.]
***Is a covering letter needed which is to be sent or are the 2 forms enough?
***Questions 21a and 21b in DS@#) part 1--which says---List persons who will accompany you to the Us now or at a later date.I am in the US already after filing DCF.So,does this mean kids if you have and other family membes.I have none except for my wife,so do I write none.

Hi,,How do we mail the completed packet 3 contents back to the chennai consulate? Do we send it by Indian govt. postal service speed post or should we send it by courier like DHL or DTDC? Which is better and accepted at the consulate?Thanks for the help.

You mean signature of your spouse only or both of you?

The folks who give our passport clearance certificate used Indian speed post to mail back my wife's passport. The service was great, only problem was that the wifey had to shell out Rs.200 to the postman as he wouldn't give the letter to her thinking she had received new passport and wanted some money for himself for bringin the good news.
