Background:
I was working in the US for 6 years on a H1B visa, but I had some better opportunities to start a company in Asia.
The Company in Taiwan is planning to expand some of its operations, and start selling products to the US.
As a result, I returned to the US to start a DBA in Boston so that my business can have a presence in the US.
I'm a Singaporean, and my business partner is from Taiwan. We started an LLC company here in Boston.
Questions:
If you need someone who knows the business to start an office and operations here in US, how do we go about in obtaining a visa? (which visa, H1B or B1?)
I can't seem to find Singapore on the Treaty Countries list, but Singapore and the US has a free trade agreement. Does it mean I cannot apply for E-1 visa?
How much paid up capital do we need for the company in the US before I can start employing myself or my business partner?
