Daughter's GC received - No status on my (Petitioner) case

I had filed for our (Myself, Wife and Daughter) I-485 from Vermont center June 2002. Myself and my wife have done finger prints twice now. We got approval leeter and plastic card for my daughter. Our status still shows that it's being processed. I've started the tracker on my case as VSC is processing August 2002. I've also send the request to local senator to follow-up on my case. Anyboy else facing/faced similar situation. Is there anything else that I can do to get status on my case?

Can you clarify your status message... is it that your case was approved and now your 'card processing is completed'? Or are you still waiting for your online status to say that your case was approved?

donpablo,

Sorry I don't have any advice to give. I thought all of your cases were approved. My situation is that my spouse received her card, and I have not yet. I hope that your Senator's immigration liaison can help you out. Good luck.

We are in the same boat, my son's I485 was approved on 8/31/04, (message updated several times on line) while mine and my husband's cases are still pending.

Approval at last

Finally received an approval e-mail from INS our cases. Involving local senator to get case status does help. :)

Hi donpablo,
Can you tell some more details about your case? How long does this take from contacting senator to finally get approved? Which state are you in?
Did you call the senator or fax?
Thanks

Did you receive your approval ?
I am in the same boat. My dependents received approval on 8/13/04.
No luck for me yet. My lawyer says that their stamping may not be
used for Int'l travel as the principal applicant is not approved yet.

EB3 @ NSC
ND : 11/2002

It's hard to tell yet.
I contacted senator, got reply on 9/21 saying cases have been approved, in the process of having approval letter printed..., but till now I haven't received anything yet. On line message not change either!
Contacted senator again, was told to wait two more weeks...

That seems contradictory to the purpose of the I-551 stamp. Regardless of the principal applicant, anyone with the stamp is officially designated as a Legal Permanent Residence as of the date of approval, the proof of which is the stamp until the card is received. It is put in one's passport for obvious reasons - it is a travel document!

And presenting the stamp at a POE should cause no issues. Unless I am missing something here?

I have just got four emails from USCIS, approval notices are mailed on Oct. 7... Finally our cases move forward with a lot of effort involving contact senator, call 1-800 etc. So if you are not one of those lucky folks who get surprisingly early approval, just put more effort.
