Dates on plastic Card

Can any one tell me what will be the date of residence shown on green card.
Should it be date of receipt date of I 485 or shoild it be date of approval/stamping of I 485. I enquired with few of my friends, some have got date of receipt date and some have date of approval. Can any body tell me what should be correct date as per INS law?

My 'permanent residence since' date is the date of the approval of the 485. Not the date I got stamped ( about 2 weeks later )
I am surprised if others have the 485 reciept date - but maybe it is backdated like that for certain categories. I am EB3.
The card expiry date appears to be 10years from the date the card was created.

Card date is always approval date. Receipt date cannot be GC card date because you were not approved at that point of time.
