I am to apply for my N400, what worries me is, the stamps/seals placed at verious ports of entry (US and Inida) on my pasport for entry/departure etc are not very clear, having the ink blotted, and are not legible, and I have misplaced my old pass port, as the new one was issued 2 years go

when I am to declare all the trips, do they have to be precise (to the very date) or is it okay if they are offset by 1or 2 days ?

You are not getting fast response because you are posting in the wrong section ... this is linked to "US citizenship".

You can be approximate. Just put month and year when you do not know the specific date.

I plan to Apply as soon as i Meet my continous presence criteria, i believe that i would on the 3rd of the of FEB. As the qualification is like on the dot, is approximation a good idea?

If you residence qualification is on the margins, I believe you need to do a log more homework than just find the right filing date. You will need to prove residency, and if you have long breaks, prove your ties to US during those breaks. Approximation is the least of the problems ... if you approximate by 10 days, you can get around that by filing 10-20 days later, but if your presence is 50%, even those extra 10 days will budge it to 51%, which does not sound much different from 50%.

my presence of half the period (30 months) has been met by the first week of july. its 4year and 1 day time frame i am waiting on from 2nd February 2006. its 3rd of Feb 2010, thats of now doubt, but like i said the dates may be like with devition of or or 2 days give or take. and its 3 trips, so to be on the safer side, should i wait say till the 10th of February ? (an extra 7 days)
