Date Updated - Simply Today's Date?

Guys, what do you all mean by saying that "someone looked at your case today"? Do you mean thte date at the bottom of the "Case Status" page?
It appears to me that it is simplyu today's date and time. Please correct me if I am wrong.

No, there's a status update field that you need to look at in your portfolio.

I could not find something you said, I see there is a column which you can see the last update date of your case, but there is nothing which says they looked at your case,
