All,

As per the following URL, the dates in the processing timeframes - Is it the date that applications are recieved or the date on which the notice was issued ?

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=NSC

There is a 2 month gap between my date recieved and notice date.Just want to know, what is considered as Processing timeframe.I know it is a silly.I have just started looking at these dates and i wanted to know what they meant exactly.

It is the RD (Received Date) - NOT Notice Date (ND)

I am quite sure the processing times are based on RD and NOT notice dates. In one of their recent memos (during the July 2007 VB fiasco), the USCIS had stated and assured that the actual date of receipt will considered for processing the applications.

Having stated the above, I am also sure of how USCIS could be erratic and random in the approval of various petitions from immigrants. The USCIS is also widely supported for their dubious actions and delay tactics by the majority of American citizens.

I wonder if the IV demands the USCIS to follow priority dates and FIFO for processing of petitions.

RD: Nov 24'06
ND: Jan 3'07

USCIS customer services/IO refuses to divulge any information over phone since their systems has Jan 3 as the date my app was received. Sucks...:D
