We filed our I485 on 2nd July. My family then went to India on 5th July... (thinking that it will not be accepted).
I am joining them tomorrow. We all need to get our H1B stamped in Chennai.
We plan to come back on 12th Aug 2007.
Now as per the latest bulliten our I485 will be accepted.
I am aware that one needs to be in US when the I485 is filed. I am sure we do not need an I485 receipt to travel.
In my wife and kids case they were in US when it was filed is this sufficient. My lawyer says that this will not be an issue. He can handle this case.
Wanted to know if my family members I485 will be rejected? DO I NEED TO FILE ANOTHER I485 WHEN I RETURN ON 12TH AUG
