Date of Adjustment of Status? (for I-90)

Hello,

My permanent green card will expire on Februrary 21, 2007 (10 year expiration), so I'm currently working on filling form I-90 to renew it.

In form I-90, they ask for the date of Adjustment of Status (from conditional to permanent.) My problem is that I looked through all my papers and can't seem to find the exact date my adjustment of status took place.

I found the notice I had received 10 years ago for my interview to remove the conditional status (that was in November 1996), but cannot find anything about the actual date of the removal.

My green card only shows the expiration date (02/21/07) in the front, and "IR6 DET 940705" in the back (that number doesn't seem to correspond with the date of the condition's removal, which must have been sometime between November 1996 and February 1997).

How can I find the exact date? Or should I just write 10 years prior to my card's expiration, which would make it 02/21/97?

Thank you very much for any information.

Please, can anybody help? Is it okay if I write the date 10 years prior to my GC's expiration date? Or is the exact date of adjustement of status definitely different from the card's expiration? And is it likely to cause me trouble if I don't write the exact date on form I-90?

Thank you in advance. (Sorry to post again -- I'm really worried to make a mistake filling the form.)

If I were you, I would put the date in "approximation". I don't think
there is any need to be worried about this little thing.

Good luck
