Hello all,
I have heard scary stories about judicial oaths being backlogged to 6-12 months and I'd like to get some inputs from anyone recently attending judicial oath in Dallas area to share his experience.
Here's our story: Me and my wife applied for U.S. Citizenship in March 2012, got our interview at Irving, TX USCIS office on July 5th 2012. We both passed the interview and we've been both recommended for approval. My wife opted for a name change on her application however the IO did not mention anything about a judicial oath just that she can expect an oath letter in about 2 weeks. On July 11th we have received email notification that both of our applications have been placed into oath scheduling queue. On July 15th I was notified that my oath is scheduled however no update on my wife's side. We found this little strange as despite having two separate applications we have been getting updates for both applications simultaneously (FP, interview was same day, oath scheduling date etc). I have received my oath letter 2 days later, with oath being scheduled on July 26th at Irving's office, again nothing for my wife. I went for my oath (it was an administrative oath) and I am an US Citizen now! However as of writing this post, my wife's case is still showing "oath scheduling queue" and it's been more then a month since her interview. I am assuming she is getting a judicial oath (because of her mentioned name change) hence the delay. I have seen some members of this forum posting a schedule for judicial oath at US District Court in Dallas downtown. The link is below:

From this link you can see that US District court is having judicial oaths once a month and this ads to our concern that it might have been indeed backlogged. If anyone having experience with judicial oath in Dallas area would confirm the above schedule is legit and post his experience we would really appreciate it very much!
Thank You!
