Dallas / irving Interview - will Name change reqeust delay the Oath for my wife

I am sendign N-400 tommrrow to Lock Box and may expect Interview during December and Jan . My question is my wife is changing the name and we ticked Yes on name change section . Does it delay the chance of same day Oath .

Yes, it is possible it will delay her oath. Name change is done by a District Judge, which will take a bit of time. Since you are in TX, the Judge approve a name change by firing his weapon outside his chambers, and it will be done.......lol!!!

Good One South . Is thee any process in place where Judge will come to USCIS office and will administer it ?

Also what is the best way for my son to change the name . he is derivign the citizenship
