Whats DOS's policy on the announcement of cut-off dates
while retrogression is announced. How would they calculate
cut off date for issuence of remaining number of visas in a
diminishing visa pool? Or is there really any policy?
DOS has stated on their august visa bulletin that," for schedule
A nurses visas, since the 50,000 limit is reaching, DOS would
announce a cut off date, as early as October". DOS has stated
that "this cut off date announcment is aimed to give priroty
to ealrier filed cases, while issuing the remaining little number
of schedule A, EX category visas. And once these visas finished
this category will end"
Would DOS set a cut off date which is earlier than June 2005?
As we all know it was on June DOS announced the category
schedule A and EX to utilise unused visas. ( Schedule A being
a DOL classification)
While calculating the cut off date, Would DOS count the cases
filed prior to June 2005,( which are still pending), as well?
Whats the DOS policy on this issue?
