I called the USCIS customer service and gave her my time line and filing date and that i have not heard anything about my case since June of 06 Filing had interview in Aug of 06 and only have recieved work permit since then no travel papers no decision on case. The very very very helpful lady said you will get something in the mail within 45 days. Firstly will i really hear anything in 45 days and if so does anyone have any experience with this? I think it is the FBI name check.

Your interview was scheduled very soon (in 2 months) after your filing. What did they tell you at the interview? You could have asked and they would have told you whether it is pending name check.
When you say that you have not received travel papers, did you file for I131? When? In 3-4 months, you should receive I131 approval. You can specifically ask cust svc about status of that.
I do not know whether you will get something in mail in 45 days. It is possible. Maybe cust svc made an inquiry to DO about the status. You can schedule an INFOPASS and try to get more info on status of I485 and I131.

I called customer service on Monday the 2nd. I got a letter from the Local office in San Bernandino that "i should recieve a decision or any other course of action within 120 days" This is for my I485.
I had filed for i765, i130, i485 and i131 together only got my EAD so far. At interview IO said he cannot make decision and would have to consult supervisor. He was friendly and overall interview went well. I had interview in Aug of 06.
