Curious: If PPD and X-ray both went +ve

I just want to inquire about this worst case.........if some body have been in this situation(i wish there should be none) or someone has some light to shed on this.
whether this is the only thing which can go wrong during medicals, or something else has to be taken into accont too.
sorry for my pessimisim/negativity.

If both the PPD and X-Ray are positive and then are most probably positive on TB. Then what they will require is for you to start taking the treatment. Also, I believe they will make those who have come in close contact with you take it as well. It\'s not going to stop you GC, but you will have to show them that you are on the medication - which you will have to take for several months.

SO, not to worry. Simply get on the treatment, and carry documentation when requested showing that you are on the treatment.

But when you would come abouth the tests were +ve ? Is doctor\'s office supposed to tel you any thing at the time of test?

The Doctor will confirm that in the tests and if it really happens for anybody, I strongly suggest redoing the check (ONLY THE X-RAY because redoing the skin text with such a short time may be hazardouns to Health) for confirmation. If that also confirms as positive, then you should start the medication immediately and consider quarantining yourself for at least 3 months from your loved ones. Actually the doctor by law is supposed to notify state Department of Health for such cases.

yes, i think he will not only tell you but also inform the health department and then you have to have on treatment, once you start treatment i think INS doctor will give you sealed envelop.
I think that is how it works.
