Surprisingly, after numerous of follow up with the Embassy, NVC and Immigration, they told me I am not qualified for the CSPA. They said that if I really want to appeal, I have to hire a lawyer. That was year 2005. (My dad is a naturalized citizen when he filed my petition and I was just 19 then).
I was really devastated to hear that I am not qualified although I know, I am. Since we do not have enough money to hire a lawyer, I decided to get married. My husband is now in the US and we are now facing another challenge, he is on his 5th year as GC holder, and cant apply for his US Citizenship because he had an Assault with bodily injured case during his 4th year and 6mos. We have to save money for an attorney.
Last January, I received a notification from NVC saying they reviewed my case and I am now QUALIFIED under CSPA.
I bursted to tears, as I feel that I really dont have any chances of seeing my loveones again.
I dont know if I still have chances... I read the CSPA over and over again, but it says there that if a child marries... then they wont qualify in CSPA.
It's not my fault. I still have the emails they sent and telling me I AM NOT qualified for the CSPA. I want to sue them. I am full of anger. But I cant do anything.
My husband wants it there... he wants me to be there... but I am now losing hope.
