CSC's processing rate .. :(

eventually

Registered Users (C)
I am trying to determine the processing rate of CSC. So, my assumption is that if we find out the number of cases touched per day between wac02-30 to wac02-60 (thats where most of the resources is focused now), that may give processing power of CSC.

Based on Kashmir's posting (project Kashmir, page 35 - 21st May 2003 03:00 AM) .. I noted that between 5/12 to 5/21, 100 cases were touched in those 10 calendar days.. (just tried one set of data between 5/12 to 5/21)

so, as of now the processing rate of CSC is 10 cases touched per calendar day.. Fair ??

Again, from Kashmir's data - the number of 485 applications ahead of me, (between wac02-30 to wac02-80)
5906
2130
449
-----
8485 cases ahead of me.

If the processing rate does not increase at any rate beyond what it is today, then per above assumption my case is touched after (8485/10) calendar days from today. ???

Wac-020-80 :o :o :o

Which is better than what they have sent us earlier(999 days) :). Don't worry, almost everybody is in the same situation, just hang in there.

Yes, but...

I think your logic mainly makes sense, excepting the fact that new people have been hired, so hopefully that rate will pick up a bit.

Despite this, I refuse to feel sorry for you: I am WAC 02-138, which seems to indicate I will be retired before I am finally approved!

Plus a lot of cases get transferred, dropped etc etc as we see from Kashmirs Scan. Plus Mag 7 will hopefully do something.

Like Guru Dutt said " Woh subah kabhi to aayegi" . hang in there and continue with your analysis at the end of this week. Hopefully we will be at 200 cases instead of 100..

This rate will improve well before you are approved eventually.

But still it is a long enough wait.

I didn't get how you calculate the number of cases 8485 ahead of you.

This is what I get from kashmir's table of May 20:

Total cases within 02-001...02-080 - 9088
Card ordered + completed + approved - 3312

the rest is pending - 5776
of which 34 are denied, withdrawn or rejected.

My guess is that now almost half of CSC 485 resources goes to catch up with 01-xxx cases. In two-three month they'll finish it, and we'll see...
So, your waiting time can be around 60 weeks from now.

ND022.. You are more accurate ..

True, you number for pending applications is more accurate than mine ..

5776/10 = 577 days then ..

Also, how many wac-01 cases are still pending, do you think?

Most of the 01 backlog comes from June, July, August, and September 01 filings. Each of these months might originally have a triple load, like we see in November 01 (compare with "normal load" of December 01 or January 02).
Can be anywhere between 800-1200 cases pending, though, my guess is most of those are already "touched": transferred for interview, RFE, re-FP, etc.
I used to post some data for 01 in the following thread, so you can figure out, how it's going out there.
