CSC-XII is still replying - but just takes 1 month :-)

Today I received reply from CSC-XII regarding status enquiry for my wife's
I-485. The reply was
"your name has been cleared. But your spouse(that's me)
name check is still pending FBI processing. So your app cannot be processed further until primary applicant's case is ready. And we have no control over FBI processing.....blah blah."
 
I got a very similar answer (in 29 days) from CSC. In my case, the principal is all clear and ready to be approved, dependent is waiting for name check.

CSC officer wrote he'll go ahead and approve the principal for now (I-485).

What is your PD??Is your PD current??.If not, how can they approve the 485 if there is no available visa number??
 
Got reply in 2 days.

Last time I checked was in September. James had replied back saying it was pending for name check clearence. When I checked this week, I got a reply back saying "Your case is on hold due to no visa availability at this time". Not sure though if my name check has cleared or not.
 
It seems Mr. Will is not reponding the emails, who responded your emails? thanks

this reponse is default now a days, 2-3 friends of me got same:

"Your case is on hold due to no visa availability at this time".

So nobody is sure that name check is cleared.

So I agree with all that GC is became

I also recently got I-485 approval (a week ago). Received green card last a few days after.

EB2 not retro.
 
I got a response from Mr.Cruz.
He has emailed me stating that my case is pending because of security check.
So looks like whoever got "VISA UNAVAILABILITY" email wait for you PD to become current.

I sent a email inquiry on 12/16 and got a response on 12/20. So looks like within 2 working days they are replying. now you have many people replying along with James William.
My previous inquiry was replied by James saying that it is pending because of FBI name Check ....Now Cruz has replied GC is pending because of Securiy Check. Is there any major difference between these two?
 
I think

security check == name check
system check is different from the rest.

Mr. Cruz is very informative and reply promptly.
 
Just received the card after about 1 week of the approval notice through email. One interesting thing is that I've got 4 consecutive LUDs on 485 after the approval email.

I never had any LUD since FP which was done in Apr, 2005. But after the approval, I got 4. Interesting...
