Hi,
my labor certification is from Delaware and i am working for a client of my company in California. My Companys attorney filed the I140/I485 to CSC with ND Oct 03 2003. i got the EAD in Jan and FP done in April and i confirmed with
USCIS cust service guys that filing like this to a different center is fine.
Now i got emails that my I-485 is transferred to Vermont. There is no
status update of my I-140 though. i dont know whats going on.
do you know if the filing date of I-140 and I-485 are going to be preserved
in case of transfers like this.
could somebody explain these things to me..
here is the text from the mail..

On September 22, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in VERMONT SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times

thank you
