hELLO. I am here to whine about the California Processing Center. It has been 5-6 months, I think, that it has not been moving and has been stuck at June 6, 2005. This is so frustrating because other centers have been moving and one could get a case approved in a month or so. They say that it will take 8-12 months to get a case approved under CSC and yet with other center with 8-12 months one could have a visa by that time. Grrrr....Now I am thinking if I have applied with other states instead. Would I transfer? Nahh...It would cost me $20thou to get out of a contract that I signed. I will try to work at other Asean countries during those waiting times. Would you suggest?

Your idea is not practical if you already started working for the sponsor and the only reason to leave the sponsor is the 140 processing time in CA. If you cannot stand the workload or work condition with the current sponsor, you may find another sponsor and file 140/485/EAD meanwhile notifying the current sponsor to withdraw your current application. You have to consult a lawyer before you do this. If you file 140 and then get out of US, you may have to tranfer your case to the US embassy after your 140 is approved which will delay even more. Be careful.

hi

Thanks for your reply. Though, I am not yet in the US working for my sponsor. I am still here in the Philippines waiting for my rocket to come or the visa. I was thinking of working in other Asean countries till I am close to getting the visa.
