It's old news, but anyway.

Division I

1. Many people with pending I-485 applications at CSC had their prints taken more than 15 months ago. In light of the fact that the print is only valid for 15 months, would you like a list of those individuals with expired prints so that they may be sent another print notice? We can also provide you with the date that the print was taken at an ASC.

We are well aware of expiring fingerprints. We will begin full adjudication of the I-485's in October. We have been promised additional resources. Mid September we will run a report which will give us all the expired prints as well as the ones that are still current. With that information we will have the contractor schedule people for fingerprints. If it is discovered at the time that the officer adjudicates the case, he/she will schedule and if needed issue an RFE at the same time. Everyone should be advised to pay close attention to these notices and follow the instructions closely. No additional fee will be requested except for those applicants who have now turned 14 and need to be printed.

Read the next sentence. It says "we have been promised". Who is we? Who promised? Did "they" keep up the promise?? IFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF "they"?? keep up the promise "we"?? will begin adjudication in October.

Can it be interpreted this way??

Full adjudication means simply adjudication, because now 485 are virtually frozen, only about 300 WAC cases are approved per month with 2000+ new cases arriving.

you have to take every statement/rumor that comes out of BCIS with a grain of salt. However, there is some evidence that there is some truth to this statement as we have seen several people receiving 2nd FP notices which is consistent with the above 'claim'. I wouldnt set my hopes too high though.

140, i might need help...

NAFSA

The original document is linked from:
http://www.region12.nafsa.org/r12immupdatescsc.htm

More importantly,
NAFSA Region XII Team has a liason meeting with CSC quarterly.

First paragragh is NAFSA's question,
and second paragragh is CSC's answer.

Also, NAFSA had proposed to provide the list of individuals with expired fingerprint.

We don't have this kind of organization who can represent us against the CSC.

I never understood, why do they have to ask for finger printing again.
Can't the top guys atleast understand that the finger prints donot change. If they want they could run the old finger prints against the newer criminal records every 15 mo, instead of sending a notice, changing online status, scheduling the FP and finger printing.

mango_pickle,
As "Tasse" wrote they do not save FPs. They save only criminal's FPs in the database. Privacy laws. The applicant's FPs are used only for this check.
