CSC IIO says waiting for background check information?

Anybody know what the background check entails? We have 485\'s and 131\'s pending since Oct last year, did our FP\'s on Feb 23, recieved our EAD\'s early Feb. When asked why we did not get our AP\'s yet he said they were extremely busy and these kind of delays are normal, this so different from the encouraging news I see on this forum, does any one know the actual status of things at CSC.

The background check is done by FBI according to your fingerprint.
Waiting for background check means that your FP result didn\'t show up in CSC\'s system.
